A well considered decision has been made to postpone the Auto Trade EXPO 2022 to later this year from the scheduled May 7-8th. The new dates are October 22nd & 23rd.
The Auto Trade EXPO was effectively sold out at the Citywest Arena & Exhibition Centre and over 95 per cent of exhibitors have already re-confirmed their booked stands for the new October dates.
As you can appreciate it was not an easy decision and it was one made in the interest of exhibitors and attendees alike.
We carried out research over the last two weeks among a number of previous attendees of Auto Trade EXPOs in anticipation of and with regard to restrictions being lifted and their willingness to attend indoor events.
Owners/ managers of independent workshops, motor factors, bodyshops, tyre retailers, etc. were among those contacted. Their responses revealed that many key decision makers in businesses, indicated that they may not feel confident to attend a large indoor event in early May, so soon after restrictions being lifted. Previous younger attendees would have no issue with attending.
With many possibly wearing masks indoors voluntarily, the difficulty so soon after the strong restrictions, would be providing a guaranteed normal business environment so exhibitors and attendees alike could maximise all possible business opportunities. It was also anticipated that it would likely impact on maximising the number and quality of attendees at the Auto Trade EXPO in May.
It was felt strongly that the May dates would be too soon for many key potential attendees. It was also important that this decision be announced in plenty of time.
With regard to the rescheduled date on October 22-23rd, it is very reassuring that there has been a near unanimous agreement with exhibitors for switching the dates.
