Bosch Aftermarket sets up YouTube Channel

Bosch Aftermarket is reinforcing its commitment to helping vehicle technicians be better informed and work smarter with the introduction of a brand new YouTube channel.

Featuring videos communicating the latest automotive technology insights and best practice in car servicing and repair, the channel is now accessible to all workshops in the UK and Ireland, and can also be viewed via mobile and other devices. It is the latest innovation from Bosch aimed at delivering first rate knowledge and understanding to aftermarket businesses.

“With online access steadily rising among UK garages, conveying up-to-the-minute news and information via YouTube makes excellent practical sense and will support technicians in maintaining a high level of service to customers,” explains Mark Heard, Marketing Communications Manager for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket.

“Every video we post on the Bosch Aftermarket YouTube channel is being developed to deliver maximum knowledge and expert advice on both technically challenging and standard maintenance work. We’ll also release details of our latest products and services, new vehicle technologies and vehicle maintenance advice for drivers.”

As workshops increasingly make use of smartphones and tablets in the workplace to search for valuable ‘how to’ guides online, the new YouTube channel from Bosch will provide a single point of reference or portal to a world of specialist automotive knowledge. All content will be highly visual, concise and easy to find, with clear hints and tips and practical recommendations. Videos will cover everything from spark plugs and wiper blades to catalytic converter analysis, oscilloscope readings and correct fitment of the Bosch Park Pilot reversing aid.
Mark continues: “Efficiency is vital in today’s workshop environment, with rapidly evolving vehicle systems and electronics presenting a strong challenge to technicians. The ability to access high quality information simply and rapidly will deliver significant benefits to forward-looking businesses and the new YouTube channel complements our latest diagnostic developments, most importantly the launch of ESI[tronic] 2.0.”
