Volvo is first car maker here to comply with new WLTP Fuel Consumption and Emission Testing Protocols

Volvo has become the first car manufacturer in the UK and Ireland to homologate its entire model range under the new Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). All Volvo petrol, diesel and hybrid models now comply with the stringent ‘Euro 6d-temp’ standard for tailpipe emissions, as part of the firm’s model-year 2019 range update which started production in April. It can clearly be seen that Electronic Brake – force Distribution (EBD), Traction Control (TRC) and Vehicle Stability Control are simply extensions in functionality of the basic ABS system and it follows that test procedures and diagnosis are also similar.
