Moog offers time saving solution to common suspension failure
Federal-Mogul Motorparts includes additional components to ensure a trouble free fitment during bush kits and wishbone installation Federal-Mogul Motorparts, has released its latest Moog Easy Solutions Bulletin (ESB), detailing a common issue found in replacing some BMW bushes and wishbone products.
Moog identified that when changing the mounting hardware during the installation of new components, in many instances bolts and washers were heavily corroded. These parts are often damaged when removing them making them unusable.
As these accessories are important to the installation, it is vital to have them available at the time of fitment. Moog now includes all the appropriate mounting hardware required to install the BMW parts, avoiding any extra components having to be purchased and ensuring a trouble free, time efficient installation every time.
The BMW models affected by these issues highlighted in the latest ESB include; BMW 3 series (E46, 02/98-04/05), 3 series Compact (E46, 06/01-02/05), 3 series Convertible (E46, 04/00- onwards), 3 series Coupe (E46, 04/99-onwards), 3 series Touring (E46, 10/99-02/05), Z4 (E85, 02/03-onwards), Z4 Coupe (03/06-onwards).
Easy Solution Bulletins are monthly communications from Moog that provide its customers with support and information on common issues found in the aftermarket. The free, one-page PDF highlights inherent design issues with the original part, such as metal fatigue or fitting issues, and the problems they can cause both the installer and the vehicle owner. The document outlines the changes Moog has made to its own aftermarket products to rectify these issues and provide high-quality products that are easier to install.
