Wheel bearing repair with the FAG SmartSET

After the Repair Insert Unit (RIU), the FAG SmartSET is an additional pre-assembled and simultaneously prepositioned wheel bearing unit that is specially developed for the aftermarket. It is delivered ex works as a pair of wheel bearings, inboard and outboard unit, with the appropriate grease and the appropriate quantity of grease.

The video shows an example of how to repair a wheel bearing on a vehicle with a drum brake using the FAG SmartSET, the wheel and brake drum have already been removed. Depending on the bearing, the FAG SmartSET can also be installed in vehicles with a brake disc.The process of removing and installing the hubs, and the design of the hubs themselves, may differ depending on the manufacturer.
